PODi AppForum attendees enjoy high revenue growth from digital printing and related services. Most choose to become marketing service providers.
Approximately 500 print service providers and vendors converged on Las Vegas to attend PODi's annual AppForum to learn how to further enhancet their digital printing and solutions businesses.
Using state of the art audience response technology attendees were able to answer a series of questions that provided an interesting snapshot of the industry. One of the first questions asked of the attendees was how their digital solutions revenue had changed in 2007 versus 2006. The results were stunning.
Roughly 36% of the respondents indicated revenue growth in 2007 of greater than 25% over 2006. Another 30% grew by 11% to 25%. And over 90% of the attendees showed growth, while just 2% showed a revenue decline.
This is great news for all associated with the digital printing industry as the data clearly shows that during times when the overall printing industry is in low or no growth mode industry players can move into the digital solutions space and enjoy high revenue growth.
So what strategy is being employed by attendees to grow their businesses? Nearly half the attendees are employing a strategy of being a Marketing Services Provider. In this scenario companies take on the entire marketing projects from creative through to analyzing results.
